Your Invitation to a Memoir Roundtable & Fundraiser Update
Warm greetings, Memoir Mentors!
Your continued support has brought us closer to our €4000 goal, and I’m thrilled to share that we’ve reached €545. Thank you to all who have contributed thus far; your generosity sustains our community.
I’d like to share a personal update. As some of you know, I am currently navigating the process of renewing my visa in Germany. The initial meeting didn’t go as smoothly as hoped, but when I shared the progress of the fundraiser with the immigration officer, his demeanor brightened considerably. Your ongoing contributions are not only supporting our literary haven but are also helping ensure my residence in Germany.
If Memoir Mentors has played a meaningful role in your writing journey, please consider contributing.

Your support means so much to me. I’m profoundly grateful for each of you.

Book Club Next Week – “Everything I know about Love”
I think next week’s discussion will be a good one. I think this might be one of those really like it or really don’t books. As this book really seems to focus on the Millenial experience, I’m wondering how it will land for those of us (most of us) who are not in that generation. I’ll be updating the book club questions soon with some more focused questions now that I’ve reread the book.
What it’s about:
The wildly funny, occasionally heartbreaking internationally bestselling memoir about growing up, growing older, and learning to navigate friendships, jobs, loss, and love along the ride.
When it comes to the trials and triumphs of becoming an adult, journalist and former Sunday Times columnist Dolly Alderton has seen and tried it all. In her memoir, she vividly recounts falling in love, finding a job, getting drunk, getting dumped, realizing that Ivan from the corner shop might just be the only reliable man in her life, and that absolutely no one can ever compare to her best girlfriends. Everything I Know About Love is about bad dates, good friends and—above all else— realizing that you are enough.
Glittering with wit and insight, heart and humor, Dolly Alderton’s unforgettable debut weaves together personal stories, satirical observations, a series of lists, recipes, and other vignettes that will strike a chord of recognition with women of every age—making you want to pick up the phone and tell your best friends all about it. Like Bridget Jones’ Diary but all true, Everything I Know About Love is about the struggles of early adulthood in all its terrifying and hopeful uncertainty.
